Hated to leave the Bryce Canyon area, but we still have Zion National Park to visit.  So we set up camp for 4 days Snow Canyon State Park by St. George Utah for November 5th thru the 9th.  This is a beautiful state park, but.....the campsites are very very small.  The full hook up sites are 12' wide and you only have the water/electric hookup between you and the next camper.  Our trailer is 8' wide with a bump out on each side....so we had to pull in backward(otherwise we could not get our door open) and we could bump our bed out but in our living area we could only bump out our kitchen/couch side about 3/4 the way out and forget the other side.  We would step out of our camper into the next camper site.  Oh well we did it!
Our first stop here was to drive the Kolob Canyons road in Zion National Park.  The next day we went into the Zion visitor center and from there you ride their bus system that takes you throughout the park for free.  You can get on and off the buses at several different stops in the park.  The stop we got off at allowed us to hike to a very pretty waterfall area.  The water was low, so the falls were kind of small.  Zion to me is not as pretty as Bryce, but still very pretty.

Our last day we took a hike in the state park.  This area like much of Utah was once volcanic, so you are seeing the pretty colors in the rock plus areas of volcanic rock lying on top.

From St George we headed to Las Vegas for just two nights.  One to do laundry and the other we wanted to see the Valley of Fire State Park.  Valley of Fire is really pretty.  Here we took a couple of hikes.  One was to see petroglyphs and the other brought us through another slot canyon.   We left via the Lake Meade Recreation Area on our way back to Vegas

Next stop was in Lake Havasu, Arizona for a week where we met up with my brother Doug and sister in law Kay.  Here we stayed at River Island State Park, another favorite.  Currently we are in Tucson Arizona until November 28th to spend Thanksgiving with Al's brother Larry and sister in law Marilyn and family.  The Tucson fairgrounds is set up to handle around 300 campers.  The fun part of staying here is that they have constant events.  This weekend they had a horse show, and chicken show, and a dog show.  The place is full of campers!  Today there were over 2,000 dogs at the dog show(we were told).  The chicken people have left so we won't be waking up to cockle doodle doo any more.  Last night the coyotes were all over in the park, Al thought there was one right by our camper.  Hope no livestock was lost but sure the coyote could smell the chickens and dogs, oh my!
